Lumio Coffee RoastersBrand identity concept
A concept brand identity for a fictional coffee roaster: a bean-and-star mark, a five-colour palette and a friendly serif for headlines.

Lumio Coffee Roasters is an invented brand. We designed it to show how we work, so the names, people, prices and figures on the screens are made up. It is not a client engagement and it comes with no results.
What the concept
set out to do.
Specialty coffee shelves are crowded with brown paper and black sans-serif. The brief was a brand that feels warm and a little playful without looking cheap, on the bag and online.
A simple, ownable mark
A coffee bean with a small star works at app-icon size and on a stamped lid, and has a wordmark version for packaging.
A palette where every colour has a job
Espresso, amber, crema, cherry and sage have named roles, so a new roast can take a colour without breaking the family look.
Type that does the talking
DM Serif Display for headlines and DM Sans for body text, with sample sizes for the bag, the menu and the website.

How we would build
this for you.
Our approach
- Start with a short workshop on who you sell to, what you stand for and who you compete with.
- Design two or three logo routes, refine one and test it small, large and in a single colour.
- Build a brand guide with logo rules, colours, type, tone of voice and packaging layouts.
- Hand over files for print and web that printers and developers can use straight away.
What you would get
- Logo and wordmark
- Colour palette
- Typography
- Packaging layout
- Brand guide
